Eligibility For Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu
Candidates must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates included), making the eligible age range 17.5 to 21 years.
Educational Qualification
For Science Stream Candidates:
- 12th with Maths, Physics, and English with 50% marks aggregate and 50% in English, OR
- 3-Year Engineering Diploma with 50% aggregate and 50% in English, OR
- 2-Year Vocational Course with Physics & Maths as non-vocational subjects and same percentage requirements.
For Non-Science Stream Candidates:
- 12th passed in any stream with 50% aggregate and 50% in English, OR
- 2-Year Vocational Course in any subject with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
Physical Fitness Requirements
- Height: Minimum 152.5 cm
- Chest: Minimum 5 cm expansion
- Running: 1.6 km in 7 minutes (Male) / 8 minutes (Female)
- Push-ups: 10
- Sit-ups: 10
- Squats: 20
Agniveer Vayu 02/2026 Selection Process
The selection process has three phases:
Phase 1 – Online Exam:
Science subjects candidates will be tested on English, Physics, and Maths. Non-science stream candidates will have English and RAGA (Reasoning and General Awareness). Mixed candidates will take all subjects. The duration ranges from 45 to 85 minutes.
Phase 2 – Physical & Adaptability Test:
Shortlisted candidates will undergo physical fitness test, document verification, and two adaptability tests.
Phase 3 – Medical Exam:
This includes a full body checkup covering vision, hearing, blood tests, etc.
A final merit list will be prepared based on performance in all stages.
